Atlantic Coast Rep., Nick

Coming Soon!

Hey everyone! My name is Brother Dylan, I was baptized on March 18, 2007 into the church. I am currently a junior in high school but when i get out I am going into the medical field to become an RN (registered nurse). I love serving the Lord in any way shape or form. He has done so much for me since the day I gave my life to him. He has given me so much and I am so unworthy of it. I was recently made the VP for our branch MBA and I help teach the middle school class. When I was asked to join to be a part of the SSP, I was so happy and excited to see what God has in store for me. One of the things that god has blessed me with is the ability to play the guitar an I am so thankful that He gave this gift to me. I hope that god continues to use me for whatever he see's fit. If you need anything guys, just ask! God bless.

Great Lakes Rep., Dylan

International Rep., Lucas

Hey Everyone! My name is Lucas and I'm 22 years old. I have been a member of this wonderful church since 2005. I go to the Liberty Branch. I have recently become the Sunday School teacher there. I am also the iSSP chair and our Midwest Retreat Director for 2008. I like sports especially soccer (maybe that's an understatement). I spent 2 1/2 years at the University of Buffalo studying Engineering and Math. I'm currently a Senior, Mathematics Major at Malone College (in Canton, OH) and have been asked to be the assistant coach for the upcoming 2008 season. I plan to go on to Graduate School in either Business or Education. I am excited to be working with the iSSP and I look forward to serving you. God bless.

Hey guys! My name is Courtney and I attend the Cincinnati-Morrow branch in Ohio. I was baptized on March 4, 2007 and I can't begin to tell you how much God has blessed my life since then. He has given me an amazing family and wonderful friends and support system. I'm currently a senior in high school and will be graduating in May :) I plan to attend Wright State University, at least at first, to major in interior design. After that, we'll see where God leads me! I'm so grateful to be apart of this committee and wonderful group of young people. You all mean the world to me and if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask!! I look forward to serving you as the Midwest Rep! May God bless you!

Mid-West Rep., Courtney

Pacific Coast Rep., Erin

Hello! I'm Sis. Erin from the San Diego branch. I've been baptized almost 7 years now and I can't imagine my life without the Lord! I'm currently a junior at the University of California, San Diego studying Cognitive Science. I'm thrilled to be your SSP representative because, as the only one at my school who goes to The Church of Jesus Christ, I appreciate how important it is to keep in touch with other youth from the church! You are all my family, and I'm so blessed to be a part of such a strong group. My passions are music, sports, painting and being about my Father's business. Ever since I can remember, I have traveled to missions in Mexico and have been adopted by many of the Brothers and Sisters throughout the Mexican work. I feel most at home among the saints, whether singing or playing guitar or sharing experiences. I once thought that my ideal place in life would to be out in the missionary fields spreading the gospel, but I've realized recently that I have that opportunity to tell people about Jesus Christ every day, whether at school, through a job internship, or even in my neighborhood. There are so many things going on in the world today that could distract us or lead us away, but there's so many more reasons to praise the Lord and serve our Savior! The SSP has helped me grow spiritually and naturally and I am in as much need of your support as you are of mine. May God bless you always; be happy, get excited; we've got a great life ahead of us!

Howdy! My name is Brother Benjamin and I am from the Fredonia Branch. Right now I am currently in my junior year at Slippery Rock University and am majoring in History with giving serious considerations of continuing on to graduate school. I love to have a good time, especially if it is with the brothers and sisters from the church. I love to travel, especially when I get to drive. When Im not doing school work I like to read or try to indulge myself in some sort of sport-like activity such as volleyball, ultimate Frisbee or running. I love music and have a great interest in southern gospel quartet music and some other Christian music. Ive been a part of this church a little over seven years now and have been blessed immensely, this is truly my family and you all are important to me. I find such an excitement to see God work with his people (aka you all). It is my desire to serve you guys in any way possible and I am truly blessed to be your SSP Rep. for the Penn-Mid Atlantic Region.

Penn-Mid Atlantic Rep., Ben

Southeast Rep., Daniel

Hello everyone! My name is Brother Daniel and I attend the Hollywood Branch. I am a senior at the University of Florida and Im majoring in History with a minor in Secondary Education. I hope to be a high school American History teacher someday. I am so thankful that the Lord has called me into His Church. I have been a member since 2003 and I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life. The Lord has been very merciful to me, and He is constantly with us. My hope, being a part of the SSP, is to get closer to the Lord and His Church by helping the young people. No matter what problem you have, nothing is too great for God. We all know growing up is very difficult, but when you ask the Lord to go before you and carry you all the way, He will do so lovingly. Trials will always come, but be thankful for the trials in your life, for you cant be refined without going through the fire every now and then. God will always carry you through, and when you love Him and serve Him, he will give you blessings you cant even imagine or contain. If I could give one piece of advice to the young people (including giving this advice to myself), I would say pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ every day for everything that is on your heart and mind. When you do that sincerely, God will always hear you and bless you. If you ever need anything, please dont hesitate to contact us! God bless you all and we love you!

Greetings. My name is Brother Jonathan from the Mesa branch in Arizona. I'd like to present myself as your Southwest Region SSP Representative, however, that would entail that I was elected via some form of Democratic process. Rather, I was thrust into this exalted position of power by the arbitrary mandate of President Rachel. Thus, I would prefer to be addressed as the Southwest Region Dictator who presides over the Southwest Dominion. Just kidding, forget I said all that. Actually, I was baptized on Aug, 27 2006, and I thank God for the privilege and blessing that he called me into His Church. With that, I'm eager and willing to help you in any way possible so give me a call or shoot me an e-mail whenever, that's what I'm here for. And if you have any complaints about the current administration, I'd be glad to take your grievances to the executive level. Anyways, as hobbies I enjoy playing the piano, acting, singing, reading the scriptures, and conversing in Spanish. Si quieres hablar conmigo en espanol, por favor, escrbame o llmame cuando quieras. Im currently an architecture major at Arizona State University, but Im really open to doing whatever God has planned for my life. God Bless.

Southwest Rep., Jonathon

SSP Chair, Rachel

Hi! I am Sister Rachel from New Jersey and I am honored to serve you on behalf of the GMBA. I currently attend Rutgers University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Women & Gender Studies.. I would love to become a clinical psychologist one day. I received the NJ Stars Scholarship which covers the next 4 years of college. I can only praise God for this. I do not know where I would be without the Lord and I am happy to say I have been a baptized member of the Church for about 6 years. I am an intern for the REACH program through Rutgers University. It is a very rewarding experience, which I am extremely thankful for. But what I really would like to tell you is that you have come to the right place especially if you are not familiar with our church. Jesus Christ has guided and directed me through probably the most challenging, confusing, and vital times of my life. I got baptized about two months before I started high school. This caused a great change in me and I definitely spend many of my weekends hanging out at home because I'm not willing to get drunk and high. This is when we must realize that God never said it would be easy to serve Him. However, He will never give you anything you cannot handle my brothers, sisters, and friends. God is meant to be your shield, guide, and protector, not someone we should fear or question in any way. I count it a privilege to be writing this to you and to be the chairperson of this committee. Remember, the SSP is your network of love, unity, and peace. Use it.

Ciao! Im Sister Koren from Ohio. I currently attend Miami University of Ohio as an Architecture major with a focus in Geography. I love where my studies have taken me; London (summer program) and Florence, Italy (spring study abroad). I have found that traveling is one of my passions and could definitely be a large part of my role in the church! Starting with baby steps, my first campout was this past summer, 2007, and I LOVED it! The love from everyone was tremendous! With a renewed peace and passion, I quickly decided I wanted to spread my love! Within the last 6 months, I have visited 6 branches of the church and I hope to visit many more! In sophomore year in high school, brother Lucas, our International rep. of the SSP, introduced me to the church for the first time. Acting as my woman at the well, Lucas drew my attention to the church and its love. I made the decision to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, wanting nothing more than to take every step by Gods will. God has supported me through so much and I have complete faith the rest of my life will go exactly to His plan. I am so excited for what is in store not only for me, but for the church and my role in it! SSP seems like the perfect opportunity to start doing what little work I can for the church. It is a beautiful opportunity to work for the Lord! It is an amazing gift to have the friendships and bonds we all share. I think it is important that we all learn from each other and help teach each other based on our own experiences! I know how easy it is to lose sight of our priorities and become impatient in difficult times, but happiness and love would be hard to find without the Lords support and strength every step of the way.

SSP Secretary, Koren

SSP Communications Rep., Kristen

Hey! I am Sister Kristen from the Sterling Heights Branch in Michigan. I am currently attending the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where I am concentrating on Economics and Classical Civilizations. My Classical Civilizations major has allowed me to focus on the early stages of Christianity, from Christs birth to the canonization of the bible which is completely fascinating to me, and relevant to the church . After graduation, in 2010 (so soon!!), I plan on going to school to get a Masters in Accounting. I was baptized on Mothers Day in 2002 my mother thought that it was the best mothers day present she had ever gotten!!! My Uncle, whom I was very close, had passed away the year before and until that day I was struggling a lot with God over it. I kept asking why him?? About a month after his death, I had a dream in that dream my uncle had come back to tell me that he loved me so much and that I had made his last years worth living, even though he was sick. For the next year, God continued to work with me until he finally broke through my barriers and I asked for my baptism. My prayer is that God will continue to work with the youth of the church and give them the strength to answer the call! God Bless! I love you all!
